Job Description

(Position to be based either in Lebanon or in KSA)

  • Oversee contracts review and advisory on scheduling in addition to reviewing and consolidating planning reports collected from the countries.
  • Building and assessing time claims in accordance with Contract Conditions.
  • Implementation of tools that would enhance extraction and monitoring of planning.
  • Ensure proper Manpower histograms and Equipment schedules.
  • Define proper Cashflow and financing needs.
  • Ensure adequate review of bill of quantities and drawings.
  • Oversee/ Develop detailed project schedules in line with Contract Conditions and Execution Strategy.
  • Study of contract duration and advise on feasibility.
  • Manage the analysis of equipment and manpower requirements.
  • Identify long lead items to ensure timely procurement.
  • Foster efficient coordination and communicate with the Planning function at the country level to track projects progress to ensure that timelines are met.
  • Oversee the consolidation of briefing documents and projects dashboards for high-level stakeholders.
  • Ensure the generation of an information base that allows drill-down capabilities.
  • Build & address potential time claims.
  • Empower & implement trends to ensure lean construction such as but not limited to: the Last planner system, location-based scheduling, Takt planning.
  • Implementation of Earned Value Management, such as Cost Performance Index, Schedule Performance Index, and the S Curve Chart of actual Vs. budget and forecast.

  • Planning Accuracy.
  • Claims Strategy.
  • Cashflow accuracy.
  • Project charters accuracy:
  • % work orders requiring rework due to planning.
  • % planned work.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering (civil, electrical, mechanical). Expertise in planning should cover though all three trades. Master Degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Planning, Contracts and Cost Control in the Contracting industry.
  • Having wide knowledge in FIDIC types on contracts.
  • Certificate in Primavera P6.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic (French is a plus).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Primavera.
