Job Description

Scope of work:

  • To define long-term organizational strategic goals, improve and achieve financial growth, build customer relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate and closes business deals, maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions.
  • Responsible for maximizing the sales team’s potential, crafting strong sales plans, and justifying those plans to the upper management.

 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Attending industry functions, events and trade shows; providing feedback and information on new market trends, new business opportunities and solutions.
  • Identifying “trendsetter” ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements.
  • Consulting with senior management on new business trends: outsourcing and developing new services, products, and / or alternative distribution channels.
  • Identifying opportunities for campaigns and services that will lead to an increase in sales.
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identifying and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
  • Designing and implementing a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence.
  • Presenting sales, revenue, expenses reports, and realistic forecasts to the management team.
  • Participating in determining price schedules and discount rates.
  • Identifying emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
  • Coordinating with international partners/distributors to receive accurate market information and forecasts.
  • Locating and seeking new potential business deals by contacting potential partners, advertising, discovering and exploring opportunities, and turning this into increased business.
  • Screening potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, financial requirements and evaluating options.
  • Researching persuasive approaches and pitches and building relationships with new clients.
  • Working with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Closing new business deals by coordinating and negotiating requirements, and integrating contracts with business operations.
  • Maintaining direct contact and follow up with all “Key account “clients, ensuring high levels of Client Satisfaction.
  • Identifying and meeting the decision makers within each client organizations.
  • Implementing “customer retention” strategies by promoting positive relations:
    - Presenting new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
    - Working with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
    - Arranging and participating in internal and external client debriefs.
    - Improving the flow of regular communication with customers.
  • Maintaining a thorough knowledge of the market sector to better influence customers on the benefits of the existing relationship.
  • Building trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity.
  • Planning training sessions on coffee knowledge, beverage menu production and product usage for Key customers.
  • Interfacing with existing strategic customers to solidify mutual expectations of performance and growth.
  • Preparing budgets and approving budget expenditures.
  • Maintaining a proactive sales / service approach.
  • Organizing sales campaigns and marketing plans and offers in coordination with the management and present them to the customers.
  • Designing and conducting surveys regarding awareness and market needs in terms of potential markets, competition, market shares, sales seasons…
  • Planning the execution of sales targets vs. competitions in terms of practical steps to be followed.
  • Preparing market evaluations (SWOT analysis):
    - Being fully aware of the competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, pricing policies and promotions.
    - Finding new sales and growth opportunities thus expanding the market share of the company.
  • Monitoring customer preferences to determine the focus of sales efforts.
  • Achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing the sales team.
  • Planning and directing staffing, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Resolving customer complaints regarding sales and service.
  • Reviewing operational records and reports to project sales and determine profitability.
  • Owning recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives.
  • Building and promoting strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
  • Submitting weekly progress reports and ensuring data is accurate. Ensuring that data is accurately processed into the sales management system.
  • Forecasting sales targets and ensuring they are met by the team.
  • Monitoring the sales trends and volumes per account, and taking the necessary decisions in order to increase the business.
  • Presenting business development training and mentoring to business developers and other internal staff.
  • Updating the sales & support team with proper knowledge on competitors’ offerings in addition to their pricing and strategies.
  • Providing management with regular sales reports.
  • Conducting regular and effective sales follow-up meetings.
  • Analyzing sales results and determining potential opportunities, researching and proposing internal and external targets and projects.
  • Working closely with the different departments to increase the sales opportunities and thereby maximizing revenue for the organization.
  • Discussing with the General Manager all new projects and expected results:
    - Reporting on projects feedback and success stories.
    - Asking for all possible sales & support resources and guidance.
  • Analyzing and approving the effectiveness of the sales methods, costs, and results.
  • Balancing the need to maintain margin and the need to meet growing customers’ expectations.
  • Communicating demand forecasts with the production team.
  • Conferring or consulting with department heads to plan advertising services.
  • Protecting the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Enhancing organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Abiding by the rules, regulations and adopting company’s values and behaviors.
  • Implementing management decisions and procedures.
  • Understanding the meaning of quality of service & quality of product.
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business or any related field.
  • Successful previous experience (7-10 years of experience) as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars, and conferences.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise.
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.
  • Excellent analytical thinking skills as the position requires analyzing information and using logic to address work-related issues and problems.
  • Eagerness for achievement and great effort as the position requires establishing and maintaining personally challenging achievement goals and exerting effort toward mastering tasks.
