Responsibilities:
- Sustaining growth and managing the full P&L of the operation including the revenue and the cost items of the company in Nigeria.
- Develop new channels of distribution and expand commercial activities in key cities other than Lagos.
- Build strong relationship with the insurance companies.
- Managing the 5 pillars: Digital Channels, Sales, Employees Benefits, General Business and Accounting while overseeing daily business activities and improving overall business functions.
- Improving efficiency and increasing profits.
- Establish good connections with the Insurance authority.
- Ensuring full compliance with authorities’ laws and regulations.
- Setting and achieving yearly budget and delivering KPIs month by month.
- Performing market intelligence exercises & suggesting new potential developments/acquisitions.
- Manage the relationships with the local partner and the key producer in Nigeria.
- Managing suppliers and other stakeholders.
- Constantly visiting and retaining key clients.
- Motivating and retaining key personnel.
- Communicating business goals to responsible managers.
- Engaging with the Pole CEO and the other Pole regional roles (HR, IT, Legal) in line with the broader organizational strategic planning.
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in insurance, business management or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of experience.
- Proven experience leading and growing an insurance brokerage operation.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting sales targets.
- Ability to identify business trends, changes in market conditions, and competitor activity.
- Financial acumen.
- Experience in the Nigerian market.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Strategic thinker and result driven.
- Fluency in English (verbal & written).
