Job Duties:
- Supervise the estimation process, ensuring accurate cost breakdowns for labor, materials, equipment, and other resources.
- Conduct market analysis to obtain competitive pricing for materials and subcontractors.
- Optimize project costs to maximize profitability while maintaining quality standards.
- Review project specifications, drawings, BOQs, and contract requirements to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Analyze tender documents and identify potential risks, deviations, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with design, planning, procurement, and operations teams to ensure comprehensive and realistic costing.
- Lead the preparation of technical and financial proposals for tenders.
- Develop clear, well-documented estimation files for submission and internal review.
- Provide input for project scheduling and resource planning based on estimated data.
- Build and maintain a reliable database of suppliers and subcontractors, both local and international.
- Request, evaluate, and negotiate quotations from subcontractors and vendors.
- Mentor Estimation Engineers and support their professional development.
- Implement best practices in estimation processes and cost control methods.
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree is a plus).
- 10-15 years of experience in cost estimation, including exposure to mega projects and international assignments.
- Proficient in estimation software (e.g., Candy, Excel) and cost databases.
- Arabic, English, French would be an added value.
