Responsibilities:
- Ensure optimal risk transfer and capital protection through appropriate reinsurance arrangements.
- Draft, review, and manage reinsurance contracts and agreements.
- Maintain documentation of treaties and endorsements.
- Coordinate reinsurance recoveries from reinsurers following claims events.
- Ensure timely submission and collection of reinsurance claims.
- Reconcile reinsurance receivables and payables with accounting teams.
- Analyze underwriting and loss data to assess risk exposure.
- Provide input on underwriting strategies based on reinsurance availability and cost.
- Maintain strong relationships with reinsurers, brokers, and other external stakeholders.
- Liaise with internal departments (underwriting, claims, finance, compliance).
- Analyze reinsurance costs and their impact on company profitability.
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
- Holder of a Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Actuarial, Business Admnisitration, or equivalent.
- 3-8 years of relevant experience.
- Good communication skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Advanced MS Excel skills
