Job Description

Basic Function:

The role of the Trade Marketing Manager is to lead the Trade Marketing development strategy, while collaborating with the sales and category management teams to increase sales, market share and brand awareness.

The role consists of planning, budgeting and implementing all in store activities, including point of sales materials and promotions.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the marketing and commercial teams to build a strong trade marketing plan, ensure its alignment with company’s objectives and its effective implementation.
  • Achieve and maintain targeted visibility of products and share of space through identifying prime positions in all customers’ outlets.
  • Conduct trade visits to increase market understanding, identify opportunities, set and recommend activation plans.
  • Gather, analyze and interpret market information by executing market research, constant monitoring of market/segment developments, and structuring internal and external data to share with the sales & marketing teams.
  • Monitor and report competitive brand activities such as pricing, promotions, merchandizing activities, shelf agreements, and display changes.
  • Handle full management of the POS material process: budgeting, ordering, tracking, training, logistics, distribution and deployment in the market.
  • Develop and propose new ideas and plans for merchandising displays and point of sales material (stands, trays, belts etc.).
  • Follow-up on targets with sales teams, receive and analyze the sales reports in order to take necessary action to improve targets.
  • Make sure that each product has the ultimate distribution in the market, and the wider exposure.
  • Make sure the brands and products are adequately organized and planned in the customers’ outlets in terms of quantities, types and areas.  
  • Enhance visibility of our products (planograms, stock level, merchandising, POSM placement etc.)
  • Handle and supervise the execution and proper implementation of the BTL’s strategy and promotional activities.
  • Establish close contact with retailers, propose and control the yearly merchandising contracts.
  • Secure optimum displays for our brands in the market and negotiate the best prices.
  • Any other task as per management’s request.

 Education, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor in Marketing, Advertising or any related  field from a reputable institution.
  • Masters or any relevant professional certification in Marketing is a plus.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in Trade Marketing Management is needed.
  • Excellent Computer literacy.
