Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Architect is responsible for the design development and execution of large-scale projects, and major components of large-scale developments, in coordination with senior management. The role requires strong technical expertise, design oversight, and multidisciplinary coordination within a BIM-based environment.
This position ensures that all design solutions align with client objectives, regulatory requirements, budget parameters, and company's quality standards, while supporting innovation and team development.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Oversight and guidance of architectural team members, including mentoring junior staff and ensuring accurate implementation of design intent.
- Review of architectural layouts to ensure compliance with fire and life safety regulations and applicable building codes.
- Definition of required architectural drawings and deliverables, with oversight of document production.
- Preparation and control of design development (DD) and construction document (CD) packages in accordance with company's standards.
- Development of detailed architectural drawings, technical specifications, and construction documentation.
- Oversight of the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and coordination of quantity verification with relevant disciplines.
- Familiarity with CSI MasterFormat classification and application of proper specification structuring in project documentation.
- Execution of internal quality control reviews and supervision of team deliverables to maintain accuracy, completeness, and coordination.
- Coordination with structural, MEP, civil, and specialty consultants to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Presentation of design concepts, progress updates, and technical documentation to clients, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Oversight of interdisciplinary BIM coordination, including spatial reviews and technical integration.
- Management of architectural resources to ensure delivery within established schedules and budget constraints.
- Application of advanced technical knowledge to resolve complex design and construction matters.
- Management of moderate- to high-complexity assignments with limited supervision.
- Identification of process improvement opportunities and contribution to operational efficiency.
- Technical input and support during proposal preparation and business development activities.
- Support and lead construction administration efforts, including RFIs, submittals, field observations, and site coordination.
- Interface with clients, presenting technical solutions and supporting design discussions as needed.
- Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and aligned with company's quality standards.
- Apply advanced critical thinking to solve complex design and technical challenges.
- Coordinate with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure accurate integration of all project requirements.
- Ensure construction detailing conforms to quality assurance, quality control, and best practice standards.
- Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to conform to ISO 9001:2015 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectives.
- Understand the implications of not conforming to QMS requirements.
- Utilize Autodesk Construction Cloud as the company's common data environment for the project documentation.
- Manage and organize project files, including ISO forms and adhering to naming conventions.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture (required).
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience post-graduation.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and regulatory standards; familiarity with IBC and U.S. codes is considered an advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is required.
- Strong technical coordination and communication skills.
- Experience working within a BIM-driven workflow environment.
- Proven ability to independently deliver SD, DD, and CD packages.
- Demonstrated expertise in building systems, construction detailing, and interdisciplinary coordination.
- Experience leading coordination across consultants and engineering disciplines.
- Strong understanding of all phases of architectural documentation and delivery.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to manage consultant coordination.
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple priorities with clients, consultants, and authorities having jurisdiction.
